This is a national action to push for the freedom of Leonard Peltier a Native American activist who has been in prison for over 40 years for something he most certainly did not do. He is dying in prison and we want President Obama to grant him compassionate clemency.
Starting Nov 18th 2016 there will be an encampment in Washington DC to put round the clock pressure on President Obama to #FreeLeonardPeltier. Peltier has less than 70 days to leave prison or he will die there. He also in poor help thanks to gross lack of medical care the state has given him and will most likely die in less than a year if not released from prison.
Announced on the Jay Winter Nightwolf show on Fri Nov 11th 2016 (11 minute 35 second mark): http://archive.wpfwfm.org/mp3/wpfw_161111_140000nightwolf.mp3
Anyone who supports Leonard is welcome to join this encampment for as many hours or days you can spare. Any and all help is needed. It is getting COLD in DC. This is all for Leonard but we need as much help as can be provided. We will also be in solidarity with Standing Rock. Any $ donations or supplies (heat, blankets, tents, porta potties etc) you can provide please do. The encampment will last from Nov 18th until Leonard is freed or when President Obama leaves office on Jan 20th 2017
